Due to the relaxed rules, our updates will cease unless circumstances change. Where there is a gap in information, the golf course will advise of it’s rules at it’s own discretion while continuing to follow the guidelines from the Victorian Government.
As it currently stands you must be double vaccinated and show proof via the Vic Gov COVID-Safe App. All unvaccinated patrons are not permitted due to hospitality and golf restrictions.
However, the current restrictions and rules can be articulated below via Golf Australia
”
Clubhouse Operations
- Check-in whilst being scrapped in retail and many employment settings is still mandatory in hospitality venues.
- Masks are required to be worn indoors by workers unless an exemption applies, in hospitality & retail.
- Masks are recommended for other workers serving or facing members of the public (for example at reception).
Course Operations
The announcement yesterday doesn’t make any reference on unvaccinated players. Golf Australia will continue to seek verification from the government on the status of unvaccinated patrons playing golf. The classification by the State Government that golf is Physical Recreation rather than Community Sport has caused some consternation and a level of confusion for clubs and facilities seeking to ensure they are compliant with the restrictions. GA recommends that any suggestion by third parties that golf isn’t classified as Physical Recreation be referred to the Department of Health. |
